Figment Film Festival
Figment Film Festival
The movies featured at Figment Film Festival are united by a common theme, “figmental friends.” Much like children use imaginary friends to learn about the world around them, the main characters of each film face their struggles by consulting their imagination.
A figmental friend is a protagonists psychological tool to make it through their journey. This draws a parallel to how we use everyday objects, like iPhones or keys, to help us through our daily lives.
The contrast between line illustration and photography represent real and imaginary dimensions.
The borough of NOORD in Amsterdam is an abandoned ship yard that has turned into a cultural hotspot for travelers and locals alike. The island is a short ferry ride from central Amsterdam. This little known corner of Amsterdam is decorated with street art, making for a colorful and imaginative environment. There is an arts building with tons of space for a film festival, NOORD Building will host F3.
